What is an anti-wrinkle treatment?

Anti-wrinkle treatments are made of the the naturally occurring protein botulinum toxin (also known at Botox®). It works by relaxing the facial muscles it is applied to which helps to soften and smooth wrinkles and lines. After treatment results are visible within 5-7 days with full results occurring 2 weeks after treatment. Anti-wrinkle treatments last for up to 4 months and can be a great compliment to smile make overs to help improve the appearance of gummy smiles. It is also effective in helping to treat excessive underarm sweating or hyperhidrosis.

Other ways facial aesthetics treatments can help:

• Slow the ageing process If you are in your mid to late 20s or 30s, Botox injections can be effective as a preventative anti-aging treatment against lines and wrinkles.
• Reduce jaw clenching and grinding Stressful jobs in the city of London can make us to grind and clench our teeth and cause jaw aches and pains. Botox can relax the jaw muscles to alleviate grinding and reduce jaw pain.

Renate qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist from King’s College London in 2013 and has a previous degree in Biomedical Materials Science & Engineering from Queen Mary University. In December 2018 she also qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist from Bristol University.
